Cub Climb Melody
Privacy
Cub Climb Melody is used by children, so everything it keeps about them stays on the iPhone or iPad. Nothing is sent to us. Last updated 30 September 2026.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no login — for a parent or a child.
- Nothing your child does is sent to us. We have no server that could receive it.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling or sharing data. Ever.
- No microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.
What stays on the iPhone or iPad
- Each child’s name or nickname
- Shown on their profile so they can find themselves. A nickname works just as well, and it never leaves the device.
- Their age
- An age, never a birthday. It sets how much text they see and where their climb begins.
- Their instrument and their buddy
- Where their climb starts and which sound plays, and the animal picture that stands for them.
- Their progress
- Stars, their place on each climb, how well they know each note and sign, and the days they played, so notes come back for review at the right time.
- A grown-up’s choices
- Note names as letters or Do-Re-Mi, and how much colour help to give.
- Sound and voice on or off
- So the settings stick.
- Whether the family pass is bought
- A copy of what the App Store says, so the app opens unlocked straight away. The App Store stays the record.
All of it is in the app’s own storage on that device, and none of it is sent to us. The cub’s voice is made on the device and the instrument sounds are part of the app, so everything works offline. Like other app data, it is included in your device’s iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on.
Removing it
- One child: open For grown-ups, tap the pencil beside the child, then Remove. Their name and progress are deleted from the device.
- Everything: delete the app. All of its data goes with it.
Since we never receive any of it, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Who else handles it
- Apple (the App Store)
- Delivers the app and handles the family pass. We never see your card, your Apple Account or your name. Apple tells the app only whether the pass is bought.
The app uses the internet only for that purchase, through Apple. Apple’s own privacy policy covers what the App Store does, and its servers may be outside Canada.
Children
The app is made for children, and it collects no personal information from them or anyone else. There are no links out of the app, no chat and nothing shared with other people. Settings, progress and buying are behind a check meant for grown-ups, and Family Sharing’s Ask to Buy can put every purchase in front of a parent first.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes. If a future version of the app ever needed to collect anything, it would say so here first, and the App Store’s privacy label would change with it.
